Hello everyone,听听

At this week鈥檚 Board Meeting, I announced my retirement, effective August 2026.听I feel incredibly fortunate to have been able to serve public education in 丝瓜视频DSB and听to have shared this journey with听such a wonderful community of students, staff, families听and partners.听I continue to be humbled and inspired by the 鈥標抗鲜悠� spirit鈥� and look forward to continuing to make great things possible for students听in the months ahead!听

At this week鈥檚 Board Meeting, I also presented the听2025 Director鈥檚 Annual Report,听a sampling of the Board鈥檚 successes during the past year.听I听invite听everyone to take a few minutes to explore the wonderful stories inside, such as the successful SHINE Campaign at Camborne Public School.听听explains how the school community is making a positive difference and enhancing school climate.听

As we wrap-up听January听and 丝瓜视频鈥檚听Starting Well听campaign,听we remember that our focus on mental health听and well-being听continues all year听and resources听remain听available on the dedicated听Starting Well portal page.听To learn about some of the听positive mental health promotion efforts happening at schools across 丝瓜视频,听check out听these short stories, featuring Crestwood SS, Harold Longworth PS and Hillcrest PS!听听

In February, schools will recognize Black History Month -听a time for intentional recognition of the achievements, contributions and lived experiences of Black communities. We are proud to join communities across the country in celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Black History Month in Canada!听

Information about upcoming days of significance, such as听World Cancer Day on February 4 and National Sweater Day on February 5,听is available on the听, and on our social media accounts @kprschools on Facebook and Instagram.听
